当地时间2019年12月5日16：15分许，美国佛罗里达州米拉马尔市(Miramar）一家Regent Jewelers珠宝店发生抢劫。
警方接警后迅速赶到现场，两名劫匪开枪后劫持了一辆UPS快递车辆驾车逃离现场，冲上高速公路，并不断向紧随其后的警车射击。
时值通勤高峰时段，被劫持车辆在高速公路终被车流逼停。追捕警察包围嫌犯车辆并开火。
两名劫匪在枪战中被打死，被劫持的UPS车辆司机也在枪战中不幸死亡。
对此，UPS已发布声明：
“We are deeply saddened to learn a UPS service provider was a victim of
this senseless act of violence.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of our employee and the other innocent victims involved in this incident.
We appreciate law enforcement’s service and will cooperate with the authorities as they continue the investigation.”
目前案件仍在警方调查中，未有更多消息。
